Excuse the no post yesterday. I had a busy trying to sort out various bits and pieces. It started in the morning with a trip to the venue to hear a couple of songs we have selected. Since there is a fantastic grand piano we are going to make use of it and the magical talents of Ben from Los dos amigos. So fair I have been able to remain calm but yesterday really was first time I have felt a bit nervous, especially when he started to play the songs we had selected. It hit the LL too. Needless to say we are both very excited and it is all coming together. The LL spent most of Wednesday preparing the bags and packing up the table decorations. We also had both DJ’s over last night to have a chat and that seemed to go well. I said to the LL “We have done our bit the rest id up to them”.
Have to say a massive respect to Prince Harry. I am sure there are those who will say that he his silver spoon, upper class royal who lives the live etc etc. However turns out he has been putting his nuts on the line by actually being used in Afghanistan and that has to stand for something. How many politicians have sent there kids there?? Of course now that it is known he is there it kind of changes the situation but I hope he gets to complete his tour. I also hope that all the boys and girls out there come back safe.
Talking of writing as we weren’t. I heard an advert for monster the other day. Something like John is writer not a very good one blah blah. If join monster maybe he could find his dream job in Admin….. WTF? Firstly I suspect writing is one of those careers that you just don’t fall into. Like being an Airline pilot. I imagine it is not something you wake up one day and go “Crap!! Wish I had that job in admin I always dreamed off”. Stupid advert. Writing I guess is something that requires an awful lot of talent to actually make a career of it. This in turn requires dedication and commitment. So why you would just accidentally fall into and then think it was wrong is beyond me. Stupid advert.
Right off to change my passwords
