If your mortgage rate changes you will be given an effective date (eg 1st Novv). However it takes upto 14 days for that date for the new rate to be applied. So while I was quite happy that the mortgage had come down on 1st Nov (I thought) the next payment on the 6th will be at the higher rate……………… well of course it is…..

Mrs H definitely desreves a medal. She has spent the last week looking after two kids at her inlaws. Added to the fact that Isa has been teething and parents being in their seventies are not all that mobile to help.

Anyone know at what age you lose your internal saftey catch? You know that little voice that says something in your head but stops you actually saying it out loud?
