Bus wankers - Stagecoach jazz 2

Copy of letter sent today.

I wish to enquire if it is your company’s standard policy to leave pregnant women stranded at bus stops with buses not stopping for them? Naturally I can appreciate that they may circumstances where the bus may be full (on a couple separate occasions over the last few weeks) but that was not the case this morning.

I am totally mortified and shocked that your bus driver left my 7 month pregnant wife at the bus stop. This would have been at 08.53 on the inbound journey to Basingstoke. She approached the bus stop (Manse Road) and signalled in plenty of time for the driver to safely stop, but the driver seemed intent to speed by.

Bearing in mind her condition combined with the snow and freezing weather I find this totally unacceptable. I now have heavily pregnant wife in floods of tears, distressed and standing in the cold snow, all this so that the driver can grab an extra minute on their break time.

Please advise why the driver failed to stop and if this is typical of your company’s treatment towards pregnant women?

This is truly disgusting. The buses have become so unreliable, fearing they might get caught in an inch of snow! The number of times I have waited an hour for my bus (South Ham) and they were 10 minute intervals! yet nothing! I had to yet again walk into town, and be late for work.

I can understand occasionally that a bus might be late, but such an occurrence is becoming more and more often.

Again a couple of times: because of the area I live in there are a few loud and overbearing children, where the driver chooses to just drive right pass even though it is half full. What gives them the right to discriminate, and chose who does and does not come onto the bus. We all dislike the children that cause trouble and make nuisance of themselves-But he or she is offering a service to the public. So unless they know-FOR A FACT. That there will be a bus in the next two minutes. Stop! Especially in an area like Tadley, where it is the only source of public transportation.
