I'm the strat man

Flip me it is cold. Seems as though winter has finally poked her head around the corner and beckoned us with her frosty finger.

Well Daddy’s green car is well and truly broken. The Steering rack is cracked and needs replacing, luckily they can do it today. That meant I had to bring my guitar in to work, as I am planning another jam session after work. Little did I know how much interest it would generate. From the “is that a violin” to our ex manager proclaiming that he was once in a band and loved guitars and what was the serial number of the guitar etc etc. Now me you see. I am an infant at all this. Devastatingly average as it happens or even worse, but I am learning and the only way to learn is to do. Got me to thinking as I have with everything I do, do I take it that serious that I know serial numbers of things.

Going back to my youth and playing golf. I just used to go out and hit the ball (and got bloody good at it). I had a cheap set of clubs, I think they were called Mananta, but as for the make and the model. No idea. Yet some of my friends were all like. These are Wilson 2500 with half graphite/steel combo half shaft (Steady but at the end of the day you still hit the ball in the water the same way. I guess you should really know your equipment but if you don’t and you know how to use it does it make it better or worse. Not sure what my point is to be honest. Guess I have never been into anything that much that I know everything about.

Anyway the aim of all this guitar planning is to hopefully one day to get and play a few songs. Played one already in from some students. Whilst it was only one song it was a real buzz.

Packing has continued with CN room being cleared with her “help”. Actually she was very good and helped make up the boxes as well as packing them.

Today I will mostly be paying for a new steering rack and trying to play notes in the right order to the right song.
